In order to reduce the generation Gap and to familiarize the good old tradition, once in fortnight an interactive session will be arranged with senior citizens
Students will be taken to parks, seashore, airport, forest, bird sanctuary and other sightseeing locations to get live experience. One of the parents should accompany the child along with the school authorities.
In ABBS we celebrate all public celebrations like Independence Day, Republic day, Children’s Day, cookery day etc.
Each child will have a personal record which will be filled in on a regular basis by the Class Teacher based on observations, assessments and your child’s work. This recognizes that all Children achieve and make progress. As the children get older more formal records will be kept of their attainment. This record is essential as it helps us :
It is important to remember that children vary enormously at this age and that not all children learn at the same pace. The detailed records we keep on each child are passed on to the next teacher and ultimately to the next section in the school.
During the induction meeting there will be an opportunity for parents to meet their child’s teacher and visit the classroom to discuss daily routines and to meet the other parents. This initial meeting forms part of your family’s induction programme into the school and enables you to ask any questions you may have about The ABB School.
We also have Three parent consultation days during the year when verbal reports are given on your child’s progress. At the end of the first and second terms formal written reports are given to you, which summarize your child’s progress. You are welcome to come and discuss your child’s progress at any time and we ask you to book an appointment with the Class Teacher so that she is able to give you her full attention.
Before the beginning of the day or after class ends for the day are the best times for a meeting. Fixing an appointment is essential. This can be done via the diary.
If you wish to get important messages to the Class Teacher, please make sure they are written in the diary. We ask that you leave the Diary open at the correct page to alert the teacher to the fact that you have written a message, so that they may respond promptly and appropriately.
Please also make sure that you sign the diary to show that you have received the letters we send home. Please note, Class Teachers are not available during teaching sessions to answer telephone calls as they are needed to supervise your children.
